places

Jade isn't surely someone who is carried away by memories or a feeling of "belonging" to a certain place, but he's connected with a few, particular locations.

keterburg

Keterburg Keterburg is the place in which Jade born and where he spent his childhood, before he was adopted by the Curtiss family. It is a nice village located in the north-western part of the world-map. It was founded by a predecessor of Peony and it was meant to become a big resort place. It is indeed a nice location where to spend holidays, but the weather isn't that fine (it's really snowy) and Peony wanted also to limit its
development because he was too attached at it, and also for the sake of Nephry, his first and only love. Keterburg can offer many attractions, like the Casino, the beautiful and expensive Hotel, and the relaxing Spa.

Grand Chokmah

Grand Chokmah Grand Chokmah is the capital of the Malkuth Empire and also my favourite location in the game. I really find beautiful this waterfall town, with its beautiful main road, where you can find all the shops, bars and whatever you need, and which leads, in a sinous way to the little but quite beautiful port and to the great and majestic Imperial Palace. It is also the place in which Jade happens to live.
The Imperial Palace is probably the most stunning building of Tales of the Abyss, due to the awesome waterfall behind it and due to the precious stained glasses located in the Throne Room. Also Peony's room which is a whole mess, can appear almost beautiful for its architecture. The Army HQ is located next to the Palace and despite it's relatively small dimension, it is quite functionale and somehow friendly. You can also visit Jade's office, which is neat and organized, a part a small corner where Peony is supposed to be found, from time to time, when he pays a visit to his best friend.

The Tartaros

The Tartaros The Tartaros isn't properly a location, but it's under Jade's control and it's a very huge landship. It was built in Sheridan and it uses a mix of the technology of the Dawn age and the one recently applied by the famous scientists and engeneers of Sheridan and Velkende. Despite its dimensions, most of the place it's taken by the engines. There are a few, simple and somehow "militar" room, a small cafeteria, and other few facilities inside it. It is almost immediately taken over by the God Generals,
but later on the party gets it back. As the story goes on the Tartaros obtains a more important "role" and it is sacrifice to stabilize the planet and in the attemot to get rid of the miasma and the planet storm.
