Titles are obtained through the game with various means, such as story events or particular extra quests. Some titles affects the stats of the character and others give the chance to change the costume from the default one to a special one. Here you are a list of possible Jade's titles.

colonel (taisa)
Default title, Jade starts with this one equiped, it points out his profession/rank.
Effect: Heals 2% TP every 15 seconds while walking/running.

necromancer
Title received after the first meeting with Largo, when he reveals Jade's official nickname: Necromancer.
Effect: Cures Poison while standing still.

father of fomicry (fomicry hatsuansha)
Acquired when the party learns about teh fact that Jade is the one who basically inveted Fomicry.
Effect: Cures Stone while standing still.

insightful one (mitoosu hito)
An other title acquired during the story line, related to Jade's personality.
Effect: Gain 1 Overlimit Point every 15 seconds while standing still.

soft meanie (tsundere ojiisan)
Title acquired with the Casim Subevent, where you can learn why Jade actually wears glasses even if he doesn't need them and why he doesn't take apprentices.
Effect: Increase Item Effect by 5% when standing on top of a Save Point.

Emperor's Best Friend (Koutei no Shinyuu)
This one is available after clearing the Rappigs subevent, when basically the party has to look for Peony's pets all over the castle, by finding out they're called with the Emperor's best friends names.
Effect: Gives 3% Discount to all items in shops.

Gambler at Heart (Sanagara Gambler)
Title received after clearing the Final Town event (one of the hardest since it requires the completition of the Ant-man subevent, the Bridge Construction one and the Yulia City distribution).
Effect: Sets Chip Price to 200 Gald per Chip.

Experimental Chef (Ryouri Kenkyuuka)
Received after mastering all recepies.
Effect: Increase Cooking Success Rate by 5% for Jade.

Lawman (Nori no Bannin)
Title gained with the Din's secret shop subvent (when basically Jade would like to arrest Din for supposed illegal goods in his shop).
Effect: Sets all Item Price to Original Price while buying.

Item Collector
Title obtained with the compeltition of the Item Collector Book.
Effect: Enables Secret Shop in Grand Chokmah.
